For the Aztecs the double headed serpent symbolised rebirth and metamorphosis. Its ability to shed its skin, heal and reform as a snake, may even be interpreted as a metaphor for healing. In Kondurkar’s version of the serpent, he reflects on his sentiments about our physical, mental and emotional transformation during this pandemic.
