Printed under the close supervision of artist Al-qawi Nanavati, this limited edition print is individually numbered and signed by the artist in pencil and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. 

The artist’s work is influenced by meditation and repetition along with the aftermath of loss and its manifestation in one’s life. She has been writing letters to her late mother, Mumtaz, as a way to feel close and continue conversations with her. The process of crafting these letters resulted in prints using secret scripts, repurposing pieces of her mother’s clothing to make into weavings, paper, thread etc. Mobilizing murmurs, materials, and memories to prolong the intimacy she shared with her mother whilst healing from the grief of her absence, addressing the universality of loss, longing and the permanence of that void.
