This workshop is designed for absolute beginners or those needing a refresher. If you're curious about linocut, this is for you. Expect a fun-filled, hands-on day, with the satisfaction of creating without computers!

You'll be guided through creating designs from sketches and mark-making, transferring them onto linoleum blocks, carving safely with tools, inking and hand-printing your own impressions to produce a small edition. Please bring any design or ideas you have, along with a bag to carry your prints home.

How the course works

1. Introducing to Linocut Printing techniques
2. Transferring your design onto an A4 linoleum block and learning safe carving methods.
3. Inking and hand-printing using PVC-based relief inks.
4. Producing a 2 colour, limited edition of 6 prints of 1 design.
