This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the traditional relief printmaking technique of woodcut.

This workshop is perfect for beginners or any e wanting to revisit the basics. If you've been curious about woodcut printmaking, this is a great p[lace to start. Spend a relaxed, hands-on day making something with your hands - no screens involved!

You'll develop a simple idea, transfer it onto a wood block, learn safe carving techniques and, print your own small edition to take home. Feel free to bring any references or ideas and, a bag to carry your prints back with you.

How the course works

1. Introduction to woodcut printmaking technique. 
2. Transferring your design onto an A4 wood block and learning safe carving methods.
3. Inking and hand-printing using PVC-based relief inks.
4. Producing a 2- colour, limited edition of 6 prints from one design.
