This recipe book takes us a step further in our food journey. It is a celebration of the efforts of our home chefs and also a celebration of our Awadhi Home Cooked Food Festival. Our home chefs come forward to share their favourite recipes. Many of these are closely held family secrets, passed down for generations. Some from homes where their forefathers migrated from other parts of the country and settled down to make this city their home. Some recipes have traveled from the gasbas of Awadh and found their way to the tables of Lucknow. There are also contributions from home chefs who have experimented with new forms of cooking and created their very own recipes. Through this book of home recipes we hope to reach out to a much wider audience.
