For everyone around the world, 2020 has been a year like no other. Survival has turned into a mediation between the quotidian and the desires. Despite the several temptations, people coped with the flux in their own ways. Dikshit feels she spent more time looking at the screen and then as an instant and opposite reaction, spent time wanting to make things with her hands. To her, the basic mortar pestle is a perfect reference to a year spent cooking in the kitchen and getting pounded with everything else thrown at us, beginning with nature.
