Solo-travel is the domain of the young, urban, upper-class, upper-caste elite in this country. Whenever the act of travel is spoken of or depicted it hardly ever touches upon subjectivites that do not subscribe to this very narrow intersection. To imagine Begumpura in the most holistic way would entail imagining access and inclusion at the heart of (solo) travel. Here, a figure who seems far away from the extant imaginary of who gets to be a solo-traveller, is seen taking a selfie with a monument reminiscent of the Deeksha Bhoomi.
