Inspired by the forms prevalent in Mughal wall murals, the asymmetrical botanicals are a set of works inspired by Avni's memories of long walks in the green lushes of Delhi and Chandigarh. The works are a decorative derivative of the flora that she absorbed during her walks. Historically the motifs are symmetrical, but Avni develops both the adjacent sides in varying manners, the rigid form mirrored by fluid reflections. Her works reimagine ancient crafts to explore new visual boundaries by deconstructing traditions and stereotypes.

Prints are shipped unframed and rolled.
