An inversion of a common motif in Indian art history, where a young woman is pictured holding a flower. The spread of Ambedkarism is a recent phenomenon where I come from. This image is a homage to the aunties and grandmothers from the community who encounter Babasaheb late in their lives and rather than being set in their worldview, as is often considered of the old, are happy and willing to inculcate his teachings into their everyday political praxis.
